Translation Disclaimer

I do not intend to infringe on any copyrights on my website. I've posted the translations for the interest of people who've seen Tanz der Vampire but aren't fluent in German, and for people who aren't likely to get to see the show. Reading transcripts is, of course, no substitute for seeing the show live, and I'd recommend seeing TdV to anyone with a remote interest in musicals, and certainly to any Jim Steinman fans. In doing the translations, I often found it difficult to strike the right balance between a literal translation and a translation which would really communicate the ideas of the original. The result is that some parts of the translations are very accurate, others convey the general meaning. I did the translations myself (unless otherwise stated) with the help of a very big dictionary; the original German pieces were obviously not my work and I've tried to credit the authors wherever possible. Please bear in mind when reading the translations that they may contain mistakes! And finally, if you spot any mistakes, please let me know - you'll be fully credited.
